Michael Jaskelewicz, Director/Co-Owner
Classes: Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Boys Beginner Hip Hop, Ballet
Michael began his dance training at age 12 at Kelly Richards School of Dance located in Warminster, PA. While at KRSD, Michael served on the Competition Team competing in the Tri-State area. He has been teaching dance for the past 8 years. Michael is fully trained in Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, and Modern Dance. After, KRSD, Michael went on to DeSales University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and studied Marketing & Dance.
While at DeSales, he had the opportunity to choreograph numerous pieces that were showcased at various venues in the Lehigh Valley. Some shows that his choreography was featured at were Emerging Choreographers Concert, Informal Winter Dance Concert, DeSales University Dance Team, and an Independent Project which exclusively featured his choreography. In addition, he studied under Trinette Singleton, the former Ballet Mistress for the Joffrey Ballet. Michael has performed in pieces originally choreographed by Twyla Tharp, J.T. Jenkins, and the Philadelphia based dance company, Vada Dance Collective.
After graduating, Michael continued his passion for dance by developing a dance class for current and former students at KRSD. In addition, he also began a fitness class that fused hip-hop and cardio that became very popular at Nex Level Fitness. Currently, Michael continues to study dance at local venues and takes the initiative to build upon his extensive knowledge of dance. Michael also continues to expand his knowledge & love of fitness as a Group Fitness Instructor for Nex Level Fitness.
Opening this dance studio is a lifelong dream coming to life!
Susan Jaskelewicz, Teacher/Co-Owner
Classes: Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Someone Special & Me, Tiny-Tot Hip Hop, Audition/Pageant Prep
Susan began her dance career at the age of eight and knew this would be something she would want to continue forever. She trained at Center Stage Dance Academy in Hatboro, PA. While at CSDA, she was a student teacher for 4 years and began teaching her own classes at age 17. Continuing her passion throughout college, Susan graduated from DeSales University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Psychology. While at DeSales, Susan performed in various student dance concerts and was cast in the re-staging of Bob Fosse's "Sing, Sing, Sing" and Alwin Nikolais' "Tensile Involvement". Along with performing, she was the production manager for the Emerging Choreographers Concert in 2009. Susan attended American College Dance Fesitval and was an active member of the DeSales University Dance Team.
During and mostly after college, Susan performed for two Philadelphia-based modern dance companies: Vada Dance Collective & coEXISTdance. She was also a member of the original Philadelphia Fight Vixens Dance Team for their 2009 debut season. Also after college, Susan worked for the Pennsylvania Ballet in their internship program to discover the inner-working of how the ballet company is run.
Most Recently, Susan was a Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader for the 2012-2013 season. Susan is excited to bring her past experience to dancers so they can experience the same love of dance that she has!
Megan Bontempo - Teacher
Classes: Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Beginner Ballet, Someone Special & Me
Megan began her dancing career at the age of five at a local Bucks County dance studio. From there she went on to study at Kelly Richards School of Dance in Warminster, PA. She is trained in Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Modern dance. While at KRSD, Megan was a member of the competition team for six years, where she often received featured roles. In high school she was the captain of the Archbishop Wood Dance Team.
After high school, Megan attended West Chester University (WCU) and pursued a degree in Kinesiology. While attending West Chester, she was a principle dancer for the University Dance Company, where she performed in numerous pieces choreographed by award winning choreographers. Also during college, Megan had opportunities to choreograph pieces and teach master classes in various styles. She studied dance pedagogy, improvisation courses, as well as kinesthetic movements of the body. After graduation from WCU, Megan continuously served as an instructor for various dance studios throughout the area.
Currently, Megan is attending Nursing school at Gwynedd-Mercy University and looks forward to continuing her dance career as an instructor with Synergy Dance Center!
Katie Baldwin - Teacher
Class: Irish Dance
Katie is a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School. She began her Irish Dance career at the age of 8 at the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance in Bucks County, where she continued for another 12 years. While a student at Fitzpatrick, Katie was also a company member and assistant teacher for a number of those years. With the Fitzpatrick School, Katie had the opportunity to travel and perform at Disneyland & Universal Studios in California, Myrtle Beach, SC, Wildwood NJ Irish Festival, Valley Forge Winter Celtic Festival, Philadelphia and Bucks County St. Patrick's Day Parades, and many more. Additionally, Katie performed in the movie, "A Rose on Ninth Street" with The Fitzpatrick Company. She also performed with the popular Irish band, Derek Warfield.
Katie is currently studying for her TCRG certification from An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha in order to continue her passion for Irish dance.
Katie is excited to be a part of Synergy Dance Center and bring the Irish Culture and Dance to the dancers!
Leigha Adduci - Teacher
Classes: Beginner Ballet/Tap
Leigha Adduci graduated from DeSales University where she received her Bachelors Degree in both Dance and Communication. Throughout her collegiate and professional career, Leigha has had the opportunity to perform work by professional artists such as Christopher K. Morgan, Trinette Singleton, Camille Armstrong, Francesca Marinaro, Sydney Skybetter, and many others. Leigha has also performed with professional modern companies such as The Blind Faith Project, Tara Madsen Robbins Dance and Sarah Carlson's One Epic Step.
In addition to performing, Leigha has had her own choreography performed in Philadelphia’s Spring Festival Come Together hosted by The Koresh Dance Company, New York City’s Dance New Amsterdam, Montgomery County Community College, Kutztown University, and DeSales University.
Leigha is also dedicated to and actively involved in bringing dance outreach performances and programs to non-profit organizations such as the VAST, Gilda’s Club, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and 954 Dance Movement Collective. Leigha is thrilled to become a part of Synergy Dance Center!
